IT WAS THE WORST OF TIMES
DRIVERS CLUB SENT FIVE MEMBERS TO CHEQUAMEGON FAT TIRE FEST AND THANKFULLY ALL RETURNED

Five Kenosha Drivers Club members embarked on a journey to Hayward, WI to take part in the 24th annual Fat Tire Festival on September 16.  To compete in this event several members sent in applications vying for 2500 coveted positions at the start line.  Four were lucky enough to be accepted and one penned a touching essay to race organizers in order to gain entry.  What they had actually won was over three hours of fun, pain, exhilaration, and agony in the Cross Country Mountain Bike Epic known as Cheq 40. Along the way a new official Drivers Club HB was crowned and they were witness to a cracked skull, broken bikes, some broken bones, a man foaming at the mouth writhing in pain, and several grown men crying.
