A mere two weeks after a near fatal mountain bike crash Kristin Aurora staged a heroic comeback completing one and a half loops of the highly technical Alpha Trail at Crystal Ridge in Franklin, WI.

The ER nurse had recently taken her maiden voyage with the Drivers Club attempting her first trail ride at Kettle Moraine.  The results went from good to disastrous when a brutal crash 1/4 mile from the parking lot landed her in the Emergency Room.  With a two week convalescence under her belt she was again convinced (by Heather)  to leave the predictability and relative safety of the road and hit the trails again.

Because of persistent flashbacks and nightmares involving Kettle Moraine it was left to Chad Larsen to find a new destination.  Chad discovered an old garbage dump with a ski hill that he heard was like Kettle.  It wasn't really like Kettle but was the perfect place for her to get back in the saddle.  After being chauffeured around the trail by Chad Dan and Heather the only falls reported were of a few stray rain drops.

In honor of her courageous achievement the Drivers Club Board of Directors has agreed to award her a coveted Drivers Club Headset cover.
