Seven members of the
Kenosha Drivers Club traveled to Lake Lake Geneva to
take part in the WORS
Treadfest Mountain Bike Race. After years of arm
twisting by the Rummelhart family four first timers
finally agreed to race.
In the Sport Class
Brian Rummelhart, a series veteran, placed 9th in his
age group to move into fifth place in the series
competition.
The Citizen class
race featured veteran Jodi Rummelhart being joined by
first timers Chris Hannes, Carl Ruegg, John Delfrate,
and Heather Tobin.
Jodi placed third place in her age group to for the
first podium finish of the day for the Drivers Club.
Also in the Womens Citizen race Heather Tobin was third
overall and first in her age group when on the final lap
she broke a chain, ending her day a half a lap before a
sure podium spot.
In the men's Citizen
race Chris Hannes finshed 2nd in his age group and 8th
overall for the second podium of the day for the Drivers
Club. John Delfrate was the fifth Clydesdale
across the line and 56th overall, and Carl Ruegg
finished 14th in the Clydesdale division and 115th
overall.
Justin Rummelhart
won the Drivers Club third medal of the day in the Youth
race.
