Who We Are... What We Ride
Check out your favorite DC rider:
Name: Jodi Rummelhart
First Lady of DC
Bike:
Specialized
Nickname:
About
Her:
Jodi has been riding from pre-Drivers Club days, and
has been competing in sports her entire life. She races WORS with
husband Brian, and has within the last couple of years, added triathlons
to her resume. Jodi has completed the Danskin Tri (Pl Pr) the last
2 summers, and has become a regular at the indoor triathlons of
Southeastern WI. She still maintains her fitness level with many
other sports as well; softball, volleyball (hard court & sand), kickball
and as the coach of a youth soccer team.
About Him:
Tim is ready to turn the corner on one full year with
the Club. Tim has a decent amount of summer time commute
rides under his belt and has shown great promise as an 'outdoor'
athlete. Having been a life long bowler (indoors), Tim has
decided to ride with the Drivers Club as a way to maximize his
aerobic activities as he makes a solid comeback from a recent
knee surgery. Tim said, "I can't believe I waited this
long to have the operation, the low impact high intensity
workout I get from biking is speeding up my recovery. The
knee feels great!" Tim has finished his first indoor Tri
(Jan 27th) with an impressive 1st place in his highly
competitive age group.
Bike: I think she just
borrows one of Chris' ten bikes
Nickname:
About Her:
Jess is being thrown into the competitive world of
Drivers Club cycling head first. Not that she's new to
cycling, she's a road rider who keeps an unique workout
schedule. With long days working in IL, she often finds
her 'free time' before the sun rises. She'll have
to set aside some quality training time to be fully prepared for
'SMACKDOWN '08' a tandem challenge set up between two DC
couples. The Hannes (Chris & Jess), of course, and the
Rummelharts (Brian & Jodi). They will vie for teamwork
champions at the Ore 2 Shore MTB Epic later this summer.
Something tells me Chris better clip-in and hold on.
About Her:
Deb is just getting started with the club, but she's no
stranger to how things work. Having started her bicycling
training last year with husband Jim, she plans on filling her
calendar with many of the more fun rides that the Drivers Club
partake in throughout the year. Charity rides,
Ride-N-Dines, daytrips and special events have Deb saying, "I
can't wait until the weather breaks and we can start riding
outdoors here in Wisconsin."
About Her:
As an outstanding CC runner throughout high school and
college, Kristen won't have any trouble making the transition to
cycling. Mike, her husband, has got her out and riding, as
he's one of the Drivers Club charter members. Kristen
enjoys riding while vacationing with Mike and their 3 children.
They have stories from rides all over the scenic Northern
Wisconsin landscape. Although the scenery isn't as
breathtaking in SE Wisconsin as it is up north, Kristen will
have some hearty enjoyable rides waiting just outside her door
as she leaves her Bristol home to hit the smaller county
highways of Kenosha & Racine County.
